Special Education Teacher | Grove City, Ohio

Job Description

Step into an impactful role supporting middle school students with diverse learning needs as an Intervention Specialist for the remainder of the school year. Three full-time opportunities are open for passionate Special Education professionals, including one cross-categorical opening, one general opening, and one focused on multiple disabilities. These positions offer a dynamic work environment with robust support—classrooms for students with multiple disabilities are capped at eight and include two dedicated paraprofessionals.

As part of a forward-thinking educational team, you will:

Desired Experience & Skills:

Current Special Education Teacher certification
Experience or interest in cross-categorical, general, or multiple disabilities special education settings
Ability to adapt instructional strategies to varied learning levels
Strong skills in collaboration, communication, and student advocacy
Commitment to fostering inclusive, respectful classroom communities

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver individualized academic and behavioral instruction to middle school students
Develop and implement IEPs tailored to each student’s strengths and needs
Employ a variety of evidence-based teaching techniques and accommodations
Collaborate regularly with general education staff, related service providers, and families
Track and report student progress to ensure goals are met
Maintain organized records in compliance with district and state guidelines
Contribute positively to school culture and student well-being
