This contract position begins August 3, 2026, and concludes June 25, 2027, offering a full-time schedule of 40 hours per week. You'll collaborate closely with students aged 15–21 using innovative, self-paced programs that combine academics and career tech training, empowering them to earn diplomas and successfully transition into the workforce.

Qualifications & Preferred Experience:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification or licensure (Ohio preferred)
• Previous experience working as a Special Education Teacher in secondary schools
• Ability to develop and implement IEPs and manage documentation
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with teachers, staff, families, and students
• Knowledge of dropout recovery programs and career tech curricula is a plus

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver individualized and group instruction based on student needs
• Develop, review, and implement IEPs in compliance with state and federal requirements
• Foster an inclusive, motivational, and respectful classroom culture
• Monitor academic and behavioral progress, communicating regularly with stakeholders
• Support students in developing critical life and career skills for post-graduation success
• Collaborate with support staff and program administrators to continually improve student outcomes
