Capital Healthcare Center is seeking a dedicated and experienced Full-Time Surgical Physician Assistant to join our dynamic team in Henderson, Nevada. Work Environment

The Surgical Center in Henderson, Nevada, is an onsite facility designed to provide a range of surgical services in a state-of-the-art environment. You will work in a supportive atmosphere alongside a talented team of health care providers. This full-time position encompasses a 5-day work week totaling 40 hours, without the burden of call responsibilities, allowing for a more balanced lifestyle.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee your own patient panel while managing physician overflow, ensuring continuity of care and patient satisfaction.

• Provide comprehensive pre-operative and post-operative care, including patient assessments, screenings, and follow-ups.

• Perform clinical procedures such as IUD insertions, Nexplanon placements, endometrial biopsies, vulvar biopsies, colposcopies (if trained), and circumcisions (if trained).

• Maintain accurate patient records and follow established protocols using EPIC EMR systems.

• Collaborate closely with attending physicians, leveraging their support for complex cases and enhancing clinical outcomes.

• Engage in leadership training and participate in an APC council to foster professional development and support among peers.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Surgical Physician Assistant at Capital Healthcare Center, you will primarily serve a diverse patient population with varying medical needs, predominantly focused on surgical interventions. The role encompasses caring for patients undergoing various surgical procedures, allowing you to make significant contributions to improving health outcomes and enhancing patient experiences in a crucial phase of their medical journey.

Qualifications

• Current Physician Assistant Certification and unrestricted state medical license.

• Strong foundation in clinical practice with a Master's Degree in Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited program.

• Demonstrated competence in surgical procedures and a passion for women’s health.

• Full COVID-19 vaccination is a job requirement, complying with state and federal regulations.

• Excellent communication skills with a focus on active listening and patient interaction.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years of experience as a Physician Assistant, preferably within surgical or OB/GYN settings.

• Familiarity with EPIC EMR system for patient documentation and care coordination.

• Experience with various women’s wellness procedures is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits
