Navia Behavioral and Psychological Center is actively seeking a compassionate and experienced Clinical Mental Health Counselor to enrich our team in Roseville, California. This full-time position is particularly focused on the effective treatment of mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety disorders.

Work Environment\n

This position allows for a flexible and modern remote work environment, centered on the use of telehealth technologies while also occasionally participating in an outpatient office setting for in-person sessions as needed. You will be part of a collaborative team of licensed professionals dedicated to providing comprehensive, patient-centered care. Regular business hours are from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening and weekend shifts on a rotating basis to accommodate patient needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Administer comprehensive assessments to evaluate the severity, frequency, and duration of mood disorder symptoms in clients.

• Engage with clients in developing personalized treatment plans that align with their unique requirements, aspirations, and preferences.

• Implement evidence-based interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to effectively manage mood disorders.

• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, available treatment options, and self-care strategies for sustained mental wellness.

• Continuously monitor clients' progress and adapt treatment plans based on their evolving needs and outcomes.
\n
• Work closely with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated and holistic care.

• Stay informed on the latest research, trends, and best practices in mood disorder treatment to refine therapeutic approaches.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential records of client sessions and treatment plans in compliance with legal and ethical standards.

• Participate in case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development activities to advance your clinical skills.

• Advocate for clients, promoting a deeper understanding and de-stigmatization of mental health issues while supporting equitable access to care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on providing high-quality care to patients aged 18 and up who are struggling with various mood disorders. This diverse client base may include individuals facing chronic mental health challenges, those navigating recent life transitions, or patients addressing co-occurring disorders. Your role is critical in helping them achieve personal growth, improved mental health, and a better quality of life.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in the state of California.

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience with a specialization in mood disorders is preferred.
\n
• Proficiency in evidence-based treatment modalities such as CBT and DBT.
\n
• Robust understanding of psychopharmacology to facilitate collaborative work with psychiatrists and other health professionals.

• Demonstrated success in achieving favorable outcomes in the treatment of mood disorders.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to form meaningful connections with clients from diverse backgrounds.

Compensation and Benefits\n
