Regular business hours are expected, with the possibility of flexible evening hours as required during busy periods.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and screenings to ascertain the mental health needs of patients, developing effective, personalized treatment plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

• Provide short-term individual counseling as well as crisis intervention services, addressing a broad spectrum of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and adjustment disorders.

• Facilitate engaging therapy groups and workshops that focus on building coping skills, enhancing emotional intelligence, and improving overall patient well-being.

• Work alongside various hospital departments, including medical teams and community organizations, to ensure integrated care approaches for optimum patient outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The counseling center serves a diverse range of patients, including adolescents, adults, and families dealing with various mental health issues. Our counselors provide critical support to hospital patients experiencing significant life changes, mental health crises, or chronic psychological conditions.

Qualifications\n

• Must possess an active state licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Psychologist.

• A master's or doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a closely related field is required.

• Demonstrated understanding of common mental health challenges faced by patients in hospital settings, showing empathy and a tailored approach in treatment strategies.
