The Registered Nurse is responsible for coordinating and delivering exceptional, patient-focused care that aligns with departmental needs and adheres to the standards of practice for the relevant state and specialty. Working alongside medical professionals and other members of the healthcare team, the RN provides personalized, comprehensive, and compassionate care by utilizing established nursing frameworks such as “Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage.” The RN acts as an advocate for patients, families, and caregivers, embodying the organization’s vision, mission, and values to ensure an outstanding patient experience and positive clinical outcomes that enhance overall departmental performance.

• Conducts procedures, monitoring, or other tasks as directed by medical providers. Records the administration of care in the patient’s medical record promptly and thoroughly.
• Educates patients, families, and caregivers about medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, potential side effects, and follow-up actions. Simplifies complex medical terminology to ensure complete understanding.
• Instructs patients, families, and caregivers on non-medical follow-up actions, such as healthy eating, exercise, disease prevention, and lifestyle modifications. Prepares them for future self-management.
• Implements evidence-based practices and continuous improvement initiatives to meet and surpass quality standards, enhancing the exceptional care provided to patients.
• Oversees the quality of care by collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate, assess, customize, and deliver a holistic treatment plan that fosters recovery.

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within six months of starting employment.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support certification.
• NIH Stroke Scale certification must be obtained within 90 days of starting employment.
• Registered Nurse (RN) license.
