This therapist role is a full-time remote position, allowing you to maintain a flexible work-life balance while still being an integral part of our team. Most of your interactions will occur through virtual therapy sessions, providing a convenient setting for patients. Our organization prioritizes a collaborative and inclusive atmosphere where team members support one another, engage in continual learning, and share best practices. The standard work schedule is Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility to address the needs of patients.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to evaluate patients' emotional and psychological needs, utilizing standardized tools and clinical interviews to inform personalized treatment recommendations.

• Create individualized treatment plans based on assessment outcomes, focusing on evidence-based interventions tailored to each patient's unique circumstances.

• Provide therapeutic interventions through various modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and solution-focused therapy, ensuring approaches align with the patients' preferences and needs.

• Facilitate support and psychoeducational groups, helping patients to build connections, share experiences, and learn coping strategies for managing common mental health issues.

• Collaborate regularly with our multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, psychologists, and social workers, to coordinate care and enhance patient outcomes.

• Respond to crisis situations by providing short-term interventions and developing safety plans to ensure that patients are supported during challenging times.

• Educate patients and their families about mental health diagnoses, treatment options, and community resources to empower them in their recovery journeys.

• Maintain accurate and confidential clinical documentation in compliance with HIPAA and other legal guidelines, ensuring high-quality record-keeping practices.

• Engage in regular professional development activities, including team meetings and continuing education opportunities, to remain current with evolving best practices in mental health therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will work with a diverse clientele, including individuals from various demographic backgrounds, age groups, and cultures. Our patient population typically presents with a wide range of mental health conditions, such as anxiety disorders, mood disorders, trauma-related disorders, and substance use issues. Your role as a therapist will involve navigating the complexities of these conditions, highlighting the need for cultural competence and empathy in every interaction.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current and valid licensure as either an LMFT (Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist), LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor), or LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker) in the state of New Jersey.

• In-depth knowledge of mental health disorders, relevant therapeutic models, and evidence-based practices.

• Demonstrated ability to conduct comprehensive assessments and develop effective treatment plans.

• Experience in delivering individual and group therapy to diverse populations is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits\n
