Key Responsibilities

As a Doctor of Physical Therapy at Valleywise, you will take on a range of responsibilities that directly contribute to our patients' recovery:

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients referred by physicians, using clinical judgment to develop personalized treatment plans.
• Implement and adapt rehabilitation protocols based on patient progress and feedback.
• Provide a broad spectrum of treatments, from manual therapy techniques to exercise prescriptions, promoting functional recovery.
• Utilize evidence-based approaches to ensure effective patient care and communicate treatment goals clearly to patients and their families.
• Document patient progress accurately and maintain timely records in compliance with legal and organizational standards.
• Demonstrate excellent customer service and build rapport with patients and their families, enhancing their overall experience.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including occupational therapists and support staff, to maximize patient outcomes.
• Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to improve clinical skills and contribute to clinic development.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for this role will possess:

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• A valid state license as a Doctor of Physical Therapy, confirmed by the Physical Therapy Examining Committee.
• A minimum of two years of relevant experience in a clinical setting.
• A current CPR certification, ensuring readiness to respond to emergencies.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members.
• Competence in word processing and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• A commitment to understanding and building relationships with each patient while exceeding their functional goals.
