Watts & Associates is working discreetly with a highly regarded Am Law 200 ranked national law firm seeking a 5th to 7th year Corporate Transactions Senior Associate to join its Atlanta office on an onsite basis.
This is a transactional role supporting sophisticated mergers and acquisitions and health care related corporate transactions for a broad range of clients, including growing middle market businesses and large strategic organizations.
The firm offers a well established, partner led platform with a collaborative, team oriented culture and strong integration across offices and practices. Attorneys in this group are valued for sound judgment, clear drafting, and practical advice delivered on a client focused timeline.
The Opportunity
You will run core workstreams on M&A matters including due diligence, drafting and negotiating definitive and ancillary deal documents, managing closing mechanics, and coordinating with specialists on regulatory and compliance considerations that commonly arise in health care transactions.
Ideal Candidate Profile
The firm is seeking a 5th to 7th year Corporate Transactions Senior Associate with:
- 5 to 7 years of substantial transactional experience, with meaningful M and A deal work required
- Prior experience supporting health care related corporate transactions, or a demonstrated interest in building that focus
- Strong drafting and negotiation skills across purchase and sale agreements and ancillary closing documentation
- Excellent academic credentials, including strong performance at a highly regarded law school
- Active bar admission in Georgia or Illinois, or a clear path to timely admission in Georgia
