Salary: $85,000, based on experience + Commission + Annual Bonus Potential
Experience: 1-2 years of sales experience, senior living experience preferred.
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday-Friday, rotating weekends
Summary:
The Director of Sales serves as the face of the community for prospective residents and families, leading the customer journey from first inquiry through move-in with warmth, professionalism, and confidence. This role is responsible for driving occupancy growth, delivering an exceptional family experience, and guiding prospective residents through one of life's most important decisions with empathy, urgency, and service excellence. The ideal candidate is a relationship-driven sales professional who thrives in a hospitality and healthcare environment, understands consultative selling, and is energized by building trust with families while achieving strong occupancy results.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead all sales activities within the community to achieve or exceed occupancy, move-in, and revenue goals.
- Build meaningful relationships with prospective residents, families, referral sources, and professional partners through thoughtful follow-up and personalized service.
- Conduct discovery conversations, community tours, and presentations that effectively communicate the value, lifestyle, and care experience of the community.
- Guide families through the decision-making and move-in process with empathy, responsiveness, and attention to detail.
- Maintain a strong sense of urgency and consistency in lead management, follow-up, and conversion efforts.
- Accurately maintain lead activity, suite inventory, forecasting, and resident information within the property management/CRM system.
- Collaborate closely with Executive Directors, nursing, operations, dining, and life enrichment teams to ensure a seamless and elevated experience for residents and families.
- Monitor market trends, competitor positioning, pricing, and occupancy to support strategic planning and performance.
- Participate in the development and execution of quarterly sales and business development plans.
- Deliver a high-touch customer experience that reflects the culture, hospitality, and standards of the community.
- Attend training programs and ongoing professional development opportunities to continuously strengthen sales and leadership skills.
Knowledge and Skill:
- Must have excellent verbal skills and communication abilities.
- Ability to work effectively within a team based environment.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Must have excellent computer skills, including; Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point, and Property Management Systems.
Qualifications:
- Proven success in senior living, hospitality, healthcare, or relationship-based sales environments preferred.
- Strong consultative sales skills with the ability to connect authentically and build trust quickly.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal abilities.
- Highly organized with strong follow-through and time management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a cross-functional team environment.
- Professional, polished, and service-oriented presence.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment that balances sales performance with compassion and customer care.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM/property management systems. Yardi experience a plus.
- Passion for serving seniors and supporting families through meaningful life transitions.
- Demonstrates freedom from pulmonary tuberculosis by a health screening performed by a physician prior to employment.
- The ability to work under stress and to function effectively with interruptions.
Mental and Physical Requirements:
- Requires ability to stand and walk short and long distances for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to lift and/or carry objects in excess of 25 pounds.
- Requires reaching above, below, and at shoulder length.
- Ability to remain calm and positive in stressful situations.
