Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct both virtual and occasional in-person counseling sessions tailored to individuals, couples, and families navigating the complexities of cancer.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness strategies to address client needs effectively.

• Perform comprehensive psychosocial assessments and develop personalized treatment plans aimed at enhancing client wellbeing.

• Remain informed about the latest research and methodologies in mental health, integrating applicable knowledge into clinical practice.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role focuses primarily on cancer patients at various stages of their journey, including those freshly diagnosed, managing ongoing treatment, experiencing recurrence, or transitioning into end-of-life care and survivorship. You will also work with caregivers and families, providing them with essential coping strategies and emotional support necessary during these challenging times. Your expertise will be vital in helping them navigate emotional distress, anxiety, and grief, ultimately contributing to improved quality of life.

Qualifications\n

• Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Mental Health Counseling.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Washington.

• No history of medical malpractice claims verified by a third party.

• Authorized to work in the United States.

Preferred Experience\n

While not mandatory, previous experience working with cancer patients or in palliative care settings is highly desirable. Compensation and Benefits\n

We offer a competitive salary range of $100,000 to $105,000 per year, reflective of your experience and the caseload you manage.
