Key Responsibilities\n

  Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the mental health status of clients using tools such as the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM).

  Design individualized treatment plans that reflect the distinctive needs, cultural backgrounds, and preferences of each patient.

  Continuously monitor and assess patient progress, implementing targeted interventions and therapeutic strategies to align with established treatment goals.

  Document patient interactions meticulously, maintaining accurate treatment records and reports in accordance with regulatory requirements, utilizing current technology platforms.

  Collaborate effectively with patients, families, and relevant stakeholders to develop comprehensive care plans that address specific challenges and desired outcomes.

  Coordinate referral options and maintain effective communication with external treatment providers to ensure continuum of care.

  Educate and mentor on-site students, interns, and volunteers involved in mental health services, fostering a culture of learning and improvement.

  Engage in clinical supervision and peer-support activities as directed, thereby contributing to the professional growth of your colleagues.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role primarily focuses on providing therapeutic support to individuals and families grappled by the challenges arising from cancer diagnoses. Our clients may be navigating emotional upheaval, coping strategies, and mental health challenges that require specialized attention and care. The therapist’s role involves creating a safe space for patients to express their concerns, fostering resilience, and promoting mental well-being through tailored interventions.

Qualifications\n

  A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited program.

  Current New Jersey license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).

  Experience in counseling individuals or groups, particularly in a clinical or healthcare setting is preferred.

  Experience with oncology patients or individuals facing chronic illnesses.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary range for this position is between USD 90,000 and USD 105,000 annually, reflecting experience and qualifications.
