Accounts Payable Clerk

Kforce's growing client is seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to support high-volume AP operations, vendor relationships, and month-end close activities. This position will be in the Newton, MA area and is scheduled as 4 days on-site, 1 day remote.Duties:

• Process invoices accurately and ensure timely entry into the accounting system
• Track approvals and support vendor payment cycles in accordance with terms
• Maintain clear communication with internal teams to streamline invoice workflows
• Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors; Resolve discrepancies as needed
• Prepare vendor reconciliations and support month-end close processes
• Assist with journal entries and accounting schedules
• Provide general accounting and administrative support as needed

• 2+ years of accounts payable or related accounting experience or wholesale/distribution environments
• Background in high-volume AP environments
• Hands-on experience with invoice processing, approvals, and vendor payments
• Experience with ERP/accounting systems (NetSuite a plus)
• Intermediate Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, filtering)
• Familiarity with reconciliations and month-end close support
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines, clearly written documents to leadership
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
