Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health evaluations and document client histories from the first consultation through to treatment conclusion.
\n
• Design and implement individualized treatment plans that reflect clients’ unique needs, involving techniques that incorporate evidence-based practices.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, promoting a safe space for clients to explore their thoughts and emotions.
\n
• Monitor clients' progress on their treatment plans, adjusting interventions as necessary to enhance their recovery journey.
\n
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of psychologists, social workers, and healthcare providers to create comprehensive intervention plans.
\n
• Follow up with hospitals and attending psychiatric staff for clients requiring inpatient care, ensuring continuity and quality of care.

• Assist clients and their families in recognizing and managing behavioral challenges, enabling improved relational dynamics and support systems.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your role will encompass working with a diverse clientele including individuals, couples, and families facing a range of mental health issues from anxiety and depression to addiction and trauma-related challenges. You will have the opportunity to tailor counseling approaches to meet the distinct needs of this varied population, fostering meaningful therapeutic relationships aimed at promoting recovery and resilience.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Pennsylvania.
\n
• Success in the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Proficiency in electronic health record systems, such as AVATAR, to manage client information and track treatment plans.
\n
• Strong understanding of mental health conditions, behavioral disorders, and addiction treatment strategies.
\n
• Exceptional communication skills, both orally and in writing, facilitating clear exchanges with clients and healthcare team members.
\n
• A compassionate approach with proven ability to build rapport with diverse client populations.

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience providing counseling services within a community health or clinic setting is highly desirable.

• Knowledge of best practices established by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• In-depth understanding of the effects of psychotropic medications and their implications for treatment plans.
\n
• Familiarity with contemporary therapeutic methodologies, including cognitive-behavioral therapy, narrative therapy, and trauma-informed care.
