Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine the severity, frequency, and duration of mood disorder symptoms presented by clients.

• Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients, ensuring that their specific needs, goals, and preferences are prioritized.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to facilitate effective treatment.

• Provide ongoing education and resources to clients and their families regarding mood disorders and effective self-care strategies.

• Monitor client progress through regular evaluations, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans to optimize therapeutic outcomes.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare team members to deliver cohesive and comprehensive care.

• Stay informed about the latest research and best practices in the treatment of mood disorders to continuously improve your clinical skills and therapeutic effectiveness.

• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation of all client interactions, assessments, and treatment plans in compliance with HIPAA regulations.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with clients facing mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety-related conditions. Our patient population is diverse, encompassing individuals from various backgrounds, ages, and cultural contexts. Your role will directly impact their journey to recovery, highlighting the importance of personalized and empathetic care in mental health treatment.

Qualifications\n

• A Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current licensure as an LCSW-C, LCPC, or LMFT in the state of Maryland is mandatory.

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in mental health counseling is preferred, particularly with a focus on mood disorders.

• Proficiency in evidence-based therapeutic practices, particularly in modalities such as CBT and DBT, is essential.

• A solid understanding of psychopharmacology and the ability to work collaboratively with psychiatrists and other medical professionals.

Compensation and Benefits\n
