Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments of clients’ mental health status through structured interviews and standardized tools.

• Provide ongoing individual and group therapy sessions focused on various mental health issues, including depression, anxiety, substance use disorders, and eating disorders.

• Regularly evaluate progress and modify treatment plans as necessary to ensure effective interventions.

• Collaborate with other healthcare providers, including psychiatrists, to coordinate comprehensive care and provide referrals when interdisciplinary support is needed.

• Facilitate workshops and educational sessions on mental health awareness and coping strategies for clients and their families.

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes within our electronic health record (EHR) system.

• Engage in crisis intervention when needed, employing strong de-escalation techniques to manage potential emergencies.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will work with a broad range of clients from diverse backgrounds, offering your expertise to individuals facing various challenges, including those dealing with mental health disorders, substance abuse, and relational issues. Understanding cultural competencies will be crucial in building rapport and effective treatment strategies tailored to each client’s circumstances.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid license as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in New York.

• A minimum of four years of relevant clinical experience working in mental health counseling.

• A deep understanding of mental health disorders, evidence-based therapeutic modalities, and culturally responsive practices.

• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and teletherapy platforms to manage client information and appointments efficiently.

Compensation and Benefits\n
