Interim Controller

Talent Square Advisors is seeking an experienced, hands-on Controller for a 6-month engagement to lead accounting operations through a period of growth and process transformation. The role oversees day-to-day accounting, project accounting, and revenue recognition, while driving improvements to financial processes, systems, and reporting infrastructure. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in project-based service industries (such as construction, manufacturing, or engineering services) and operates comfortably both hands-on and strategically. This is a working leadership role for a Controller who can transition seamlessly into the position, strengthen the accounting function, and partner closely with operations and executive leadership. Availability to begin quickly and commit to a full 6-month engagement, with potential for extension(s). Responsibilities: Accounting Operations & Financial Reporting Revenue Recognition & Project Accounting Financial Process & Systems Transformation Business Partnership & Reporting Qualifications: 10+ years of progressive accounting and finance leadership experience Strong experience with ASC 606 revenue recognition, percentage-of-completion accounting, and WIP reporting Deep understanding of cost accounting, operational finance, and project profitability analysis Experience leading accounting teams in operationally intensive environments Proven experience implementing or optimizing cloud ERP systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, NetSuite, Oracle, Sage Intacct, SAP, or similar) Preferred Qualifications: CPA Experience in high-growth environments Strong leadership and process transformation experience #J-18808-Ljbffr Talent Square Advisors
