Role Description
This is a full-time Legal Assistant, based in Sacramento, CA, with flexibility for some work-from-home arrangements after 90 day probation. PLEASE do not apply if you are not experienced in civil litigation with experience as noted.
CANDIDATE MUST HAVE KNOWLEDGE OF FEDERAL AND STATE COURT PROCEDURES AND KNOWLEDGE OF COURT E-FILING REQUIREMENTS. THEY MUST HAVE ELECTRONIC CALENDARING EXPERIENCE
(COMPARABLE TO COMPULAW).
THE RESPONSIBILITIES OF THIS POSITION ARE AS FOLLOWS:
PREPARATION, PROOFREADING AND FILING OF LEGAL DOCUMENTS
MAINTAINING ELECTRONIC AND PAPER FILES
CALENDARING OF DAILY MAIL/MANAGING ATTORNEY CALENDARS
ABILITY TO TRANSCRIBE FROM DICTATION
ABILITY TO DRAFT CORRESPONDENCE AND DOCUMENTS FOR APPROVAL OF ATTORNEYS
SCHEDULING OF APPOINTMENTS AND DEPOSITIONS
ALL ASPECTS OF TRIAL PREPARATION
CREATE AND FORMAT A TABLE OF AUTHORITIES AND TABLE OF CONTENTS
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE STRONG ORGANIZATIONAL, WRITTEN AND VERBAL COMMUNICATION SKILLS AND HAVE THE ABILITY TO MULTI-TASK. MUST BE ABLE TO COMMUNICATE WITH PEOPLE IN A PLEASANT AND PROFESSIONAL MANNER. MUST HAVE A GOOD ATTITUTE AND ABILITY TO WORK WITH OTHERS IN A TEAM ENVIRONMENT.
