Position Overview: Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Billing Specialist to join their finance team. Responsibilities:
- Prepare and process invoices for construction projects in accordance with contract terms and project milestones
- Review project contracts and documentation to ensure accurate billing and compliance with client requirements
- Collaborate with project managers and other team members to gather necessary information for billing purposes
- Maintain billing records and documentation in an organized manner for auditing and reporting purposes
- Respond to client inquiries regarding billing discrepancies or other related issues in a timely and professional manner
- Assist with month-end close processes and financial reporting as needed
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to streamline billing operations
- 2+ years of experience in billing or accounting, preferably in the construction industry
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g.,Deltec, SAP)
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Prior experience with construction billing processes and familiarity with construction contracts is a plus
