Step into a meaningful contract opportunity supporting students with diverse learning needs in a positive and collaborative educational environment near Cleveland, OH. This assignment runs from August 24, 2026, through June 7, 2027, with a steady weekly commitment of 37.5 hours and the opportunity to make a significant impact throughout the school year.

You’ll work on-site in one dedicated building, supporting two specialized classrooms:

• A classroom serving 9-12 students with multiple disabilities, including autism, non-verbal communication needs, and physical impairments.
• A classroom supporting 10-15 students with emotional disabilities, focusing on behavioral intervention plans, social-emotional instruction, and crisis intervention strategies.

Desired Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education Teaching licensure
• Experience or strong interest in supporting students with multiple and emotional disabilities
• Proficiency in developing and implementing IEPs
• Ability to create a structured, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment
• Familiarity with behavioral intervention plans (BIPs) and social-emotional instruction
• Effective communication skills with students, staff, and families
• A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach

Role Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute individualized education plans tailored to each student
• Foster student growth and independence through differentiated instruction
• Collaborate with support staff, administrators, and families
• Collect and document student progress data
• Provide crisis intervention and implement de-escalation strategies as needed
• Maintain open lines of communication with families regarding student progress
