Position Overview

Iron Gate Health & Pain Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our dynamic team focused on pain management. Located in the vibrant city of New York, New York, this full-time, onsite role entails a 40-hour work week, running Monday through Friday. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive physical examinations and accurately document patient medical histories to establish baselines and identify concerns.
• Diagnose and effectively manage acute and chronic illnesses related to pain conditions, ensuring prompt and appropriate treatment.
• Develop, implement, and adjust treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs, ensuring a holistic approach to pain management.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, utilizing the results to guide clinical decisions and refine treatment strategies.
• Provide patient education on disease prevention and management, focusing on lifestyle changes and self-care techniques.
• Maintain accurate and timely medical records using electronic health record systems tailored to monitor progress and enhance care continuity.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop coordinated care plans that optimize patient outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily focuses on patients struggling with various pain-related conditions, including but not limited to musculoskeletal pain, neuropathic pain, and pain following acute injuries. Our diverse patient population requires a compassionate and patient-centric approach, as we work collaboratively to restore their quality of life and help them manage their pain effectively.

Qualifications

• A current Registered Nurse Licensure and a Master's Degree as a Nurse Practitioner are essential.
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in pain management or related fields, demonstrating the ability to assess and treat complex conditions.
• Strong clinical, interpersonal, and organizational skills, with an emphasis on teamwork and effective communication.
• Ability to work autonomously while remaining cooperative in a high-paced healthcare setting.
• Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) to ensure preparedness for emergency situations.

Preferred Experience

While a strong foundation in pain management is crucial, experience with electronic health record systems, familiarity with treatment methodologies specific to pain management, and additional certifications in specialty areas related to pain care will set candidates apart.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 150,000 to 160,000, commensurate with experience, alongside a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as short- and long-term disability coverage and company-paid life insurance.
