Advanced Physician Assistant - Pain Management Specialist

Position Overview

Summit Counseling and Therapy Group is actively seeking a dedicated and experienced Physician Assistant (PA) specializing in Pain Management. In this vital role, you will be responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and managing patients suffering from chronic pain conditions. Work Environment

This full-time position is located onsite at our hospital facility, where you will be part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team dedicated to delivering comprehensive care. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life integration while ensuring patients receive continuity of care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations and diagnoses of chronic pain patients, utilizing advanced clinical skills and evidence-based practices.
• Identify and recommend candidates for various interventional pain management procedures such as nerve blocks, spinal injections, and other advanced therapies.
• Manage chronic medication regimens by prescribing medications according to therapeutic guidelines, ensuring patient safety and effective pain control.
• Consult regularly with our physician team and other healthcare professionals, engaging in collaborative discussions to optimize patient treatment plans.
• Perform comprehensive physical examinations, interpret laboratory and imaging results, and develop actionable treatment strategies based on this information.
• Utilize protocols to diagnose acute and chronic illnesses and monitor patients’ ongoing health status, adapting treatment plans as needed.
• Create, implement, and refine management plans for patients assigned to you, leveraging both clinical guidelines and supervisory guidance to enhance care delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on individuals experiencing chronic pain, often stemming from conditions like arthritis, fibromyalgia, neuropathy, and post-surgical recovery. You will play a vital role in addressing both physical and emotional aspects of pain, supporting a diverse patient demographic, including underserved populations who may lack access to specialized care.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies is required.
• Active state licensure to practice as a Physician Assistant.
• A minimum of three years of clinical experience, preferably in a pain management or similar setting.
• Exceptional communication and organizational skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and team members.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in chronic pain management, including familiarity with therapeutic interventions and medication management.
• Proven track record of working in a team-oriented healthcare environment with a strong focus on patient-centric care.
• Skills in using electronic health records (EHR) systems to document patient histories, treatment plans, and ongoing progress.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $150,000 to $180,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to financial compensation, you will receive a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
