Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient evaluations, collecting comprehensive medical histories and performing physical examinations to assess pain levels and functional impairments.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, incorporating both pharmacological and non-pharmacological interventions such as physical therapy and interventional procedures.
• Administer procedures and minor surgical interventions, such as nerve blocks, under the supervision of our pain management specialists.
• Maintain meticulous documentation of all patient encounters, evaluating progress and adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
• Provide patient education on pain management techniques, lifestyle modifications, and coping strategies, empowering patients to take an active role in their own care.
• Collaborate closely with healthcare providers in a multidisciplinary setting to coordinate comprehensive treatment approaches and optimize patient outcomes.
• Participate in continuing education activities and peer review to maintain clinical competency and pursue best practices in pain management.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Physician Assistant will primarily work with a diverse patient population that includes individuals suffering from various pain syndromes, including but not limited to musculoskeletal pain, neuropathic pain, post-operative pain, and chronic pain conditions. The role requires a deep understanding of the complexities associated with pain management and the ability to care empathetically for patients who may be experiencing significant physical and emotional distress. Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Current certification as a Physician Assistant from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).

• Demonstrated ability to maintain high standards of clinical practice and medical ethics.
