Work Environment

This role is based in our state-of-the-art surgical center located in the heart of New York City. As a Physician Assistant in pain management, you will work alongside experienced physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations, taking detailed medical histories and assessing pain levels to create tailored care plans.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including bloodwork and imaging studies, to assist in accurate diagnoses and treatment strategies.
• Diagnose and manage a range of acute and chronic pain conditions, including but not limited to musculoskeletal, neuropathic, and postoperative pain.
• Develop individualized treatment plans, utilizing a mix of pharmacological and non-pharmacological approaches, and monitor their effectiveness.
• Prescribe medications and make necessary adjustments based on clinical findings and patient feedback to optimize pain relief.
• Maintain meticulous patient records using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, ensuring adherence to all regulatory standards and facilitating seamless care coordination.
• Educate patients and their families about pain management, response strategies, and the importance of lifestyle adjustments to enhance health outcomes.
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, participating in peer reviews and clinical research to advance pain management practices.
• Stay informed on the latest research and treatment methodologies in pain management, actively pursuing continued education and certification opportunities.

Qualifications

• A valid State licensure as a Physician Assistant (PA-C) is required.
• Active DEA registration to prescribe medications.

Compensation and Benefits
