Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments, including the collection of medical histories and performing detailed physical examinations to develop a comprehensive understanding of each patient's pain condition.
• Work alongside physicians to formulate, implement, and continuously evaluate personalized treatment plans that address the specific needs and goals of patients.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate comprehensive patient care, ensuring all facets of a patient’s recovery process are streamlined and effective.
• Prescribe medications, therapies, and interventions to manage patients' pain, utilizing evidence-based practices to optimize treatment outcomes.
• Perform pain management procedures such as joint injections, nerve blocks, and trigger point injections, tailored to individual patient needs, as credentialed.
• Monitor patient progress diligently, assessing treatment efficacy and making necessary adjustments to optimize pain relief and functionality.
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date patient records utilizing electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) systems, ensuring compliance with health regulations while facilitating seamless communication between providers.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and training to enhance clinical skills and stay informed on emerging best practices in the field of pain management.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patient population primarily consists of individuals dealing with chronic pain arising from various conditions including arthritis, migraines, fibromyalgia, and post-surgical pain, among others. Our approach focuses on understanding each patient's unique experience and challenges related to pain, fostering a supportive and empathetic environment to enhance their overall well-being.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid and unrestricted Physician Assistant license in New York state.
• A Bachelor's Degree in a related field is required, and a Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant studies is strongly preferred.
• Proficient in medical documentation and utilizing electronic health record systems to maintain accurate patient files.
• Demonstrated capability to work both independently and cooperatively within a collaborative healthcare team.
• Exhibit a compassionate, patient-centered approach, emphasizing respect and empathy for our diverse patient population.

Preferred Experience

Candidates should have a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in pain management or a closely related healthcare field. Experience with specific pain management procedures will be considered an asset.
