Work Environment

This position requires an onsite presence, where you will work across three state-of-the-art facilities located in Brooklyn and Queens. You will rotate through two offices in Brooklyn and one in Queens, ensuring diverse patient interactions and experiences. Each site is equipped with modern medical technology, including facilities for ultrasound-guided procedures, ensuring an optimal working environment. Ample parking is available to support your convenience while commuting between locations.

Key Responsibilities

As a Pain Management Physician Assistant, your daily responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive patient assessments and formulating effective treatment plans tailored to individual needs.
• Performing ultrasound-guided trigger point injections, joint injections, and nerve blocks to provide relief for chronic pain conditions.
• Managing follow-up care and monitoring patient progress to adjust treatment plans as necessary to maximize efficacy.
• Documenting all patient interactions and procedures accurately in electronic health records (EHR), maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including physicians, physical therapists, and nursing staff, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Educating patients and their families about pain management strategies, rehabilitation options, and lifestyle modifications to enhance recovery.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The patient demographic you will serve primarily includes individuals suffering from chronic pain conditions such as lower back pain, shoulder pain, knee and elbow pain, and osteoarthritis. You will manage approximately 20 patients each day, providing personalized care and fostering relationships that empower patients on their healing journeys.

Qualifications

To qualify for this role, candidates must possess the following:

• A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• A valid New York State Physician Assistant (PA) License.
• Current PA-C Certification.
• Active DEA registration and NPI number.
• A minimum of one year of hands-on experience in interventional pain management as a Physician Assistant.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, candidates with additional certifications or specialized training in pain management procedures and experience in a hospital or outpatient setting will be preferred. Familiarity with the latest advancements in pain management and procedural techniques will enhance your application.
