Experienced Physician Assistant for Outpatient Pain Management

Foundation Physician Medical Center is actively seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant to join our outpatient Pain Management clinic located in the vibrant community of Forest Hills, New York. Work Environment

The successful candidate will work onsite at our outpatient Surgical Center, surrounded by a dynamic team of healthcare professionals. The work schedule is Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, offering a structured environment conducive to patient care and professional development. Our clinic nurtures a collaborative culture, promoting open communication and sharing of best practices among staff for enhanced patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients to identify pain conditions and develop customized care plans that address their specific needs.
• Perform outpatient procedures including joint injections and trigger point injections, ensuring procedural competency while prioritizing patient comfort and safety.
• Collaborate with physical therapy and rehabilitation providers to facilitate comprehensive patient management and optimize recovery outcomes.
• Manage and document interactions with approximately 16 patients daily, maintaining accurate and timely records using our electronic medical records (EMR) system.
• Engage in patient education, enabling individuals to understand their conditions and the treatment options available to them.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clinic serves a diverse patient population facing various chronic pain issues, including but not limited to musculoskeletal disorders, neuropathic pain, and post-surgical pain management. This role requires a compassionate touch and the ability to connect with patients from different backgrounds while delivering tailored treatment strategies that improve their quality of life.

Qualifications

• Active Physician Assistant license in the state of New York.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited program.
• Current DEA certification essential for prescribing medications.
• A minimum of 1 year of experience in a clinical setting, preferably in pain management or a related specialty.

Preferred Experience

• Demonstrable proficiency in performing joint injections and other minor outpatient procedures.
• Understanding of pain management pharmacology and treatment modalities.
• Experience working with electronic medical records systems, ensuring efficient and accurate patient documentation.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 140,000 to 170,000, reflective of experience and qualifications. Our comprehensive benefits package includes:
