Senior Accountant

CP Manufacturing, part of CP Group, is a global leader in designing and manufacturing recycling systems and waste processing equipment. We're looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our growing Corporate Accounting team. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys ownership, problem-solving, and working in a collaborative manufacturing environment. While the role initially supports CP Manufacturing, it is expected to expand into a Corporate Accounting position supporting multiple domestic and international entities. Responsibilities Lead assigned portions of the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process Prepare and review journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations Maintain the integrity of the general ledger across multiple entities Analyze financial results and explain variances Support cost accounting, project accounting, and profitability analysis Manage fixed assets, depreciation, and lease accounting Assist with financial reporting, audits, tax support, and lender reporting Support intercompany accounting and consolidations Improve accounting processes and internal controls Partner with Operations, Engineering, Project Management, Procurement, and FP&A Participate in ERP enhancements, reporting automation, and special projects Mentor junior accounting staff as needed Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree in Accounting 5–7 years of progressive accounting experience Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP Demonstrated experience managing month-end close activities, preparing financial reports, performing balance sheet reconciliations, and supporting external audits. Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment Preferred CPA or actively pursuing CPA certification Manufacturing, industrial, or project‑based accounting experience Percentage‑of‑completion or project accounting experience Epicor ERP experience ERP implementation or system upgrade experience Public accounting experience Physical Requiremens Ability to work at a computer for extended periods. Ability to communicate effectively in person, by telephone, video conference, and electronic communications. Ability to remain in a stationary position (sitting or standing) for extended periods while performing computer‑based work. Ability to occasionally move throughout the office to attend meetings and collaborate with team members. Ability to occasionally lift and carry items up to 10 pounds. Pay Range $86,000–$95,000 annually, depending on qualifications, skills, and relevant experience. Classification Full‑Time, Exempt Additional Information Work Schedule: Full-time, hybrid (typically 3–4 days per week in the office). Regular in‑office collaboration is required. Travel: Less than 5% (occasional business meetings or training) International Collaboration: Regular communication with our UK operations and other international business partners. Occasional international travel may be required based on business needs.
