TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg / Tele RN in Charlottesville, Virginia, 22903!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 16 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year preferred License: Pending license accepted Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: - Epic experience required - Ability to manage patient ratio of 1:4 - Experience with telemetry, dysrhythmias, and IV insulin protocols Description: This position is for a 12-bed medical-surgical/telemetry unit. Patient diagnoses include respiratory illnesses, renal illnesses, diabetes, sepsis, cellulitis, infections, heart failure, sickle cell, and cystic fibrosis. Candidates must be available for every other weekend and work two out of the three winter holidays. Applicants must adhere to the facility's float policy. The unit utilizes various support services including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services. Responsibilities include managing chest tubes, interpreting dysrhythmias, and providing wound care. Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential for this role. Candidates will be expected to handle patient care in a fast-paced environment. Experience in managing insulin drips and tracheostomy care is preferred. Willingness to float within the scope of practice is required. This role contributes to an interdisciplinary approach to patient care in a supportive environment.
