About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Department experience required. License: Valid nursing license required. Certifications: BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support) ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) Must-Have: Minimum of 1 year of travel experience required. EPIC experience is required. Oncology experience is preferred but not required. Description: This position is within the Emergency Department's Oncology Pod. It is designed to meet the urgent and complex needs of cancer patients. The work environment is fast-paced and high-acuity. Candidates must be proficient in IV starts. Experience with telemetry monitoring is required. The patient ratio is 1:4. Request Time Off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of application. Seven consecutive days off may be granted at the facility's discretion for a 14-week contract. There is a strict compliance deadline before the start date for credentialing. All candidates must be aware of the urgency of the fingerprinting process. Candidates must complete fingerprints as soon as they sign the contract. Two professional references are required, with one reference from a manager or someone in a formal leadership capacity. Former employees are eligible for a travel assignment after being away for 6 months or more. Current employees are ineligible for travel positions. Education must be from an accredited nursing program.
