Billing Specialist/Self-Pay SpecialistDo you enjoy solving problems and finding efficient solutions? Do you have a background in medical billing?Universal Health Corporation ("UHealth") is seeking a Billing Specialist/Self-Pay Specialist to join our growing team! In this role, you'll help verify eligibility, receive and process customer payments, accept payments over the phone, and ensure timely and accurate billing processes and follow-up that lead to efficient reimbursement for services provided to Medicare, Medicaid, MCOs, commercial insurance, HMOs, and other third-party payors.Schedule & Pay:Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.Starting Pay Rate: $20/hourKey Responsibilities:Research and resolve claim denials by reviewing correspondence and Explanation of Benefits (EOBs).Contact insurance carriers to determine next steps to secure claim payment.Manage self-pay billing, client statements, and accounts receivable to improve collection outcomes.Process and electronically batch self-pay client statements for vendor upload.Provide backup and support to Contract Billing functions.Qualifications:Experience: Minimum of two years of experience in healthcare, medical billing, billing and collections, or insurance reimbursement required; insurance reimbursement experience preferred.Education: High school diploma or GED required.Background: Candidates must successfully complete a background check prior to employment.Why Join UHealth?Supportive Environment: Join a collaborative team dedicated to accuracy, efficiency, and quality in every aspect of billing operations.Professional Growth: Opportunities to develop skills and advance within a growing healthcare organization.Comprehensive Benefits: UHealth offers a competitive and comprehensive benefits package to support your health, financial, and personal well-being.About UHealth: Universal Health Corporation ("UHealth") partners with post-acute care facilities across the region to deliver high-quality, patient-centered healthcare.
