Accountant I

Century Group is partnering with a client who is seeking an Accountant to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary $65,000 to $70,000 per year.


Overview of Responsibilities

• Pay vendors, verify federal ID numbers, schedule and prepare checks, and resolve purchase order, contract, invoice, or payment discrepancies and documentation
• Review submitted employee expense reports and validate all expenses against supplied receipts and company's internal expense guidelines
• Initiate payments to employees weekly for expense reports
• Maintain accounting ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions
• Reconcile processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances
• Sort and distribute incoming mail

• Minimum of a high school diploma, GED or equivalent
• 2+ years prior experience with accounts payable preferred
• Detail oriented, with strong organization and time management skills
• Computer literacy with proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, specifically Microsoft Excel
• Ability to communicate effectively and interact with employees and vendors in a professional manner
