Key Responsibilities\n

• Provide individualized therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based techniques to address the unique needs of each child and adolescent.

• Engage with clients both in their homes and through our outpatient clinic, focusing on building rapport and trust throughout the therapeutic process.

• Implement strategies for anger management, social skills development, and coping mechanisms, specifically targeting high-risk behaviors such as self-injurious actions and aggression.

• Work collaboratively with the Child Family Treatment Team and multidisciplinary experts to create comprehensive treatment plans that involve family input and participation.
\n
• Maintain thorough and timely documentation, including intake assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.

• Participate in monthly team meetings to share insights, discuss case progress, and suggest recommendations based on best practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our primary focus is on children and adolescents between the ages of 3 to 20 who may be experiencing emotional, behavioral, or developmental challenges. As an LMFT, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients, including those with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD). This role emphasizes a strengths-based approach, enabling clients to achieve their potential and improve their family dynamics.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a closely related field is required.

• Must have an active and unrestricted LMFT license to practice in Arizona.

• Availability for at least 5-10 hours per week, primarily during after-school hours (4-7 PM), with weekend flexibility being a plus.

Preferred Experience\n

• Proven experience in providing positive behavior support and utilizing various therapeutic modalities.

• Familiarity with working with children aged 3-20, particularly those with intellectual or developmental disabilities.

• Possession of a valid driver’s license and a registered vehicle to facilitate client visits when needed.

• Successful completion of a criminal background check, including fingerprinting.
