Work Environment\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, you will work fully remotely, allowing for a flexible work-life balance. Our practice operates from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with some flexibility required to accommodate patient needs. We have adopted a modern approach to mental health therapy, utilizing telehealth technologies and electronic health record (EHR) systems to ensure seamless care delivery and documentation.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough, culturally sensitive mental health assessments to gain an understanding of each patient’s unique experiences and tailor individualized treatment plans accordingly.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), adapted to align with patients’ cultural and personal backgrounds.

• Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions aimed at addressing specific mental health challenges while promoting resilience and emotional well-being.

• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, psychologists, and community resource coordinators, to provide comprehensive and coordinated care.

• Offer immediate crisis intervention and support during mental health emergencies, demonstrating strong crisis management skills.
\n
• Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment alternatives, and community resources to enhance their understanding and management of mental health issues.

• Maintain accurate, confidential documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards, using an electronic health record system to ensure efficient record-keeping.

• Actively participate in regular case conferences, team meetings, and cultural competency training sessions to cultivate a collaborative and informed team environment.

• Stay current with research and best practices in the mental health field, particularly those relevant to cultural considerations in therapy.

Qualifications\n

• Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current and valid license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Illinois.

• Deep understanding of mental health disorders and a proficiency in various evidence-based treatment modalities.
\n
• Experience in delivering individual and group therapy, characterized by culturally responsive and inclusive approaches.

• Ability to handle crisis situations with poise and effective intervention techniques.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, enabling you to build rapport and trust with a diverse clientele.

• Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems and other computer applications necessary for documentation and communication.

Compensation and Benefits\n
