Job Title: Business Systems Analyst


Client: Judicial Council of California

Duration : 12 Months

Note: This is a 100% remote role.

Description of Duties

• Minimum Job-Specific Skills/Qualifications Required (in order of relative importance):
• Bachelor's degree in information systems, Accounting, Supply Chain Management, Communications, Public Administration, or a related field OR equivalent experience.
• 3 years' hands-on experience with contract management, specifically software licenses.
• Ability to perform contract usage evaluations, write clear findings, and create prioritized remediation plans based on compliance with current policies.
• Experience supporting audits, compliance reporting, or formal review processes (internal controls, risk tracking, corrective action plans).
• Proven ability to lead (not just participate): facilitate working sessions, manage a backlog of fixes, track compliance progress, and report status/risks.
• Strong communication skills: can explain accessibility issues to non-technical content owners in plain language and provide actionable detail to technical staff.

Additional Skills/Qualifications Desired:

• Knowledge of the Judicial Branch Contracting Manual, State Contracting Manual or State Administrative manual.
• Experienced at establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of the work.
• Excellent understanding of software license and contract management.
• Recent experience within government agencies or public-sector bodies with projects of a similar type.
