Job Opportunity – Medical Oncology Registered Nurse – Ohio

Start Date: December 14, 2026

Location: Columbus, Ohio

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Day and night shifts available; variable weekend coverage based on unit needs; staffing ratios 1:4 to 1:5; 72-hour orientation provided; floating required to other MedSurg Oncology units

Highlights:

• Care for adult and geriatric patients with solid tumor cancers across the full spectrum of their cancer journey
• Work with common diagnoses including breast, lung, prostate, pancreatic, colon, and esophageal cancers, plus chemotherapy encounters
• Oncology experience preferred but not required – strong med-surg background welcomed
• Epic charting system with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including pharmacy, rapid response, physical therapy, and social services
• 36-bed unit with focus on infection prevention protocols and patient safety
• Previous travel experience preferred; 13-week assignment with one pre-approved time off period

Requirements:

• Active RN license (Compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
• Minimum 2 years of current acute care nursing experience
• BLS certification required; ONS Chemotherapy certification preferred
• Epic charting system experience required
• Telemetry interpretation and monitoring skills required
• Competency in IV starts/maintenance, blood product administration, central line management, and isolation precautions
• Experience with accessing/managing ports and chemotherapy administration preferred
• Education from ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
• Two professional references required (one must be from a manager/director or formal leadership role)
