Job Opportunity – Medical Oncology Registered Nurse – Ohio

Start Date: December 2026

Location: Columbus, Ohio

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Day/Night or Night shifts available; staffing ratios goal of 1:4, may extend to 1:5; variable weekend requirements based on unit needs; floating required to other MedSurg Oncology units; 72-hour orientation

Highlights:

• Comprehensive solid tumor oncology care across the entire cancer journey, from new diagnosis through treatment to end-of-life care
• Adult and geriatric patient population with diverse cancer diagnoses including breast, lung, prostate, pancreatic, colon, esophageal cancers, and chemotherapy encounters
• Strong emphasis on infection prevention protocols and patient safety initiatives
• EPIC charting system with full interdisciplinary team support including pharmacy, respiratory services, rapid response teams, and social services
• Telemetry monitoring with GE telemetry system, Alaris pumps, and modern equipment
• Travel nursing assignment with previous travel experience preferred; 13-week contract

Requirements:

• Active RN license (Compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
• Minimum 2 years of acute care nursing experience
• Current and consistent acute care experience within the last 12 months strongly preferred
• BLS certification required
• ONS Chemotherapy certification preferred
• EPIC charting experience required
• Skills required: Telemetry interpretation and monitoring, port access and management, chemotherapy administration, blood product administration, central line blood draws, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, isolation precautions/PPE, IV starts and maintenance, tracheostomy care
• Graduate of ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
• Two professional references required (at least one from manager/director or formal leadership; charge RN acceptable for second reference)
• Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
