Executive Sales Assistant

Our client is a fast‑growing asset‑based 3PL logistics provider operating in the New York / New Jersey market. They specialize in trucking, warehousing, and port logistics, supporting a wide range of freight—including oversized and complex shipments. Their primary clients are freight forwarders and brokers, with a growing presence among direct importers and shippers. The Opportunity We’re hiring an Executive Sales Assistant to partner directly with a senior sales leader and help drive both client relationship management and new business development efforts. This is a high‑impact, visibility role where you’ll act as the organizational and research backbone of the sales process, helping streamline daily priorities and maximize sales productivity. What You’ll Be Doing Manage and track existing client relationships across multiple offices/divisions Conduct market research and prospect identification for new business opportunities Build and maintain a daily actionable task list to support sales execution Track follow‑ups, communications, and pipeline activity within CRM systems Assist with data organization, reporting, and dashboard creation Support travel planning and occasionally travel alongside leadership for client meetings Key Qualifications (Highlighted) Strong organizational and task management skills with the ability to prioritize effectively Excellent attention to detail and follow‑through on tasks Clear, professional communication skills (written and verbal) Highly tech‑savvy with the ability to quickly learn new platforms and systems Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, entrepreneurial environment Proactive mindset with the ability to anticipate needs and stay ahead of priorities Ability to manage and synthesize information into clear, actionable insights Strong analytical thinking and problem‑solving skills Preferred Technical Skills (Not Required) Candidates who demonstrate strong technical aptitude will stand out, including experience with: Data tools such as SQL Analytics platforms (Google Analytics, dashboards, reporting tools) Systems such as WMS, TMS, or QuickBooks Bonus: exposure to creative tools (e.g., Adobe) or data visualization Compensation & Work Environment Competitive base salary (no commission or bonus structure) Fully on‑site role in Carteret, NJ Must have reliable transportation (limited public transit access) Why This Role?
