THE GIST:

Our client, a fast-growing AI infrastructure startup, is seeking an exceptional Executive Assistant to support their CTO in San Francisco. This is a true right-hand role. You’ll work directly alongside the CTO, sitting in on meetings, tracking decisions and follow-through, protecting their time, and helping turn ideas into action.

This role offers significant visibility into the business and the opportunity to build the systems, processes, and infrastructure around a senior executive!

 

THE NITTY GRITTY:

• Act as the CTO's trusted partner: attend meetings, capture decisions and action items, track delegated work, and close the follow-up loop
• Triage meeting requests, prioritize competing demands, structure the week for focus, and coordinate complex schedules across time zones
• Manage the CTO's inbox, draft responses, and flag important items
• Create concise meeting briefs with relevant context, history, key stakeholders, and desired outcomes
• Turn notes, voice memos, and meeting discussions into polished first drafts for technical, strategic, and internal communications
• Build the operating system by establishing processes and systems that help the CTO stay organized and ensure commitments don’t fall through the cracks
• Handle highly confidential information, work with sensitive financial, strategic, personnel, and legal information with exceptional discretion
• Take on special projects, solve problems, and proactively remove friction from the CTO’s day

 

THE ESSENTIALS:

• 5+ years of experience supporting a founder/c-level executive within a startup or high-growth technology environment
• Previous experience supporting a CTO and/or engineering team is a major plus!
• Highly tech-savvy and comfortable with Google Workspace, Slack, Notion, Linear, and AI tools such as Claude
• Technically literate and comfortable following conversations around infrastructure, AI/models, systems, and technical strategy
• Exceptionally organized with a strong personal system for managing information, priorities, and follow-through
• Excellent written communcation skills
• Persistent and comfortable following up with senior leaders to make sure things actually get done
• High EQ, sound judgment, and the ability to navigate sensitive information and complex personalities
• Naturally proactive and energized by a fast-moving, ambiguous environment
• Flexible to work outside of traditional business hours and travel as needed

COMPENSATION: $130k - 150k base salary + equity + benefits (exact compensation will vary based on skills, experience, and expertise)
