Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Professional Counselor at the Jewish Counseling Center, your day-to-day responsibilities will involve:

• Managing a personalized caseload of clients, establishing rapport and positive working relationships while adhering to professional ethics and boundaries.

• Conducting regular check-ins with clients to discuss their progress, stability, and next steps, including appropriate discharges when necessary.

• Crafting, implementing, and updating individualized treatment plans tailored to the unique needs of each client.

• Maintaining accurate and timely documentation in line with clinical requirements, including progress notes and intake assessments.

• Facilitating individual therapy sessions with a focus on achieving measurable outcomes and providing ongoing support.

• Engaging in continuous individual supervision and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to optimize client care.

Our clinic serves a diverse outpatient population, including children, adolescents, and adults experiencing various mental health challenges. Qualifications\n

To be successful in this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• A Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling or a closely related field.

• A current and unrestricted Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) certification.

• A minimum of one year of post-graduate experience in a clinical outpatient setting.

• Proficiency with technology, including familiarity with Excel spreadsheets, RMS systems, Outlook, and practice management platforms such as Pimsy.

Preferred Experience\n

While not mandatory, preferred candidates will have direct experience providing psychotherapy services to individuals and families and the ability to conduct comprehensive intake assessments. Experience with various therapeutic modalities and evidence-based practices is a plus, as it enriches treatment approaches tailored to our clients’ needs.
