The Progressive Counseling Center is seeking dedicated Licensed Mental Health Counselors (LMFT, LPC, LCSW) to join our team in a full-time capacity. This position is primarily remote, allowing for flexibility while delivering essential mental health services to our community. Work Environment\n

This role offers a predominantly remote work environment, which supports a healthy work-life balance. While the majority of your interactions with clients will be conducted virtually, you will also participate in regular team meetings, case consultations, and professional development through online platforms. Given the nature of our community health services, you may occasionally engage in in-person meetings or outreach activities to better serve our clientele.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to identify patient needs, preferences, and challenges, which will inform individualized treatment planning.

• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions to clients across various settings using modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).

• Facilitate psychoeducational workshops and support groups that foster peer-to-peer support, emphasizing the importance of community in mental health recovery.
\n
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other healthcare providers to ensure a holistic approach to patient care, enhancing the effectiveness of treatment strategies.

• Manage crisis interventions, offering immediate support to clients experiencing acute mental health episodes, thereby ensuring their safety and stabilization.
\n
• Educate clients on mental health conditions, available treatment options, coping strategies, and community resources to empower and inform their journey towards recovery.

• Ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards by maintaining accurate, confidential documentation of patient records.

• Actively engage in ongoing professional development, keeping abreast of new research, treatment methodologies, and best practices in mental health.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will work with a diverse range of patients dealing with various mental health issues, including but not limited to depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and substance abuse. Our clientele reflects the rich cultural tapestry of South Houston, and your practice will involve adapting therapeutic techniques to meet the unique needs of different individuals and communities.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Texas.

• Strong understanding of mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment modalities.
\n
• Demonstrated experience in assessing and formulating effective treatment plans that address diverse patient needs.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, facilitating therapeutic rapport and collaboration with patients and colleagues.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of two years of clinical experience in providing individual and group therapy, ideally in an outpatient or community health setting.

• Experience working with culturally diverse populations and an understanding of how cultural factors influence mental health.

• Proficiency in utilizing telehealth platforms and electronic health record (EHR) management systems.

Compensation and Benefits\n

As a valued member of the Progressive Counseling Center team, you will receive a competitive salary ranging from $80,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
