Key Responsibilities\n

As a licensed mental health therapist at Highland Rivers Counseling, you will:

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed assessments to understand your patients' histories and identify effective treatment options.

• Design and implement tailored treatment plans focusing on trauma recovery, resilience building, and personal growth.

• Utilize evidence-based interventions, including modalities such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions to support patients in processing their trauma and developing coping strategies.
\n
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals to provide a holistic approach to patient care.

• Respond to crisis situations, providing immediate support and interventions to patients experiencing trauma-related emergencies.
\n
• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses, available resources, and ongoing coping strategies.
\n
• Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring confidentiality and respect are upheld.

• Participate in case consultations, team meetings, and professional development opportunities to advance your skills in trauma-informed care.

• Continuously stay updated on the latest advancements in trauma therapy through research and educational opportunities.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on individuals who have experienced trauma, including but not limited to those diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. You will have the opportunity to work closely with a diverse patient population, tailoring your therapeutic approaches to meet their unique needs and backgrounds.

Qualifications\n

To be successful in this role, you should possess:

• A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current, valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in Texas.
\n
• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience providing mental health counseling.
\n
• Strong familiarity with trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment modalities.
\n
• Experience implementing trauma-focused therapies and interventions.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, characterized by a non-judgmental and empathetic approach.

• The ability to remain composed in high-pressure scenarios while delivering compassionate care.

• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant software applications.

• A collaborative mindset with a commitment to contributing positively to a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience\n

While a minimum of 2 years of experience is required, additional experience in trauma-focused therapeutic settings is highly preferred. Familiarity with specific interventions such as EMDR and TF-CBT will set candidates apart, as will any history of contributing to community health initiatives.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This role offers an annual salary ranging from $90,000 to $110,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
