Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive assessments of clients to identify their mental health needs and therapy goals.

• Developing individualized treatment plans tailored to each client's unique background and therapeutic requirements.

• Leading therapy sessions employing evidence-based techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).

• Effectively managing crisis intervention situations with professionalism, empathy, and effective communication skills.

• Documenting client progress and maintaining accurate records in our electronic health record (EHR) system.

• Participating in regular team meetings for case discussions and collaborative treatment planning.

• Engaging in continuous professional development through trainings and workshops to enhance your therapeutic skills.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will work primarily with low-acuity, pre-screened clients, allowing for a concentrated focus on therapeutic outcomes rather than administrative burdens. This enables you to dedicate your energy to building rapport and trust with clients while facilitating their mental health journeys. As a counselor at Decide to Believe, you will encounter a diverse population of clients with varying life experiences, allowing for a rich and fulfilling therapeutic process.

Qualifications\n

• Active LCSW, LPCC, LMFT, or PsyD license in the state of California.

• A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; a Master's degree or Doctorate in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or related disciplines is preferred.

• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with clients and foster therapeutic relationships.

• Exemplary organizational and time management skills to manage client caseloads effectively.

• A thoughtful and empathetic approach to delivering mental health care.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience providing mental health counseling.

Compensation and Benefits\n
