Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct preliminary interviews to accurately assess clients' mental, emotional, and behavioral health from the initial consultation through to the conclusion of treatment.

• Evaluate clients using evidence-based methodologies, ensuring the development of appropriate intervention and recovery plans tailored for individuals, couples, families, and groups.
\n
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing various therapeutic techniques to engage clients and promote healing.
\n
• Monitor client progress throughout the treatment plan, providing adjustments and additional support when necessary to optimize outcomes.

• Collaborate with other mental health specialists, medical professionals, nurses, and social workers to create comprehensive care plans that address the multifaceted needs of clients.

• Follow up with psychiatrists and attending physicians regarding hospitalized clients, ensuring continuity of care and responsible management of treatment protocols.

• Identify and prevent behaviors that may impede the therapeutic process, assisting clients in overcoming barriers to recovery.

• Provide guidance to family members and primary caregivers in managing and supporting their loved ones facing mental health challenges.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPCC, LCSW in the state of California.

• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Prior experience in a mental health counseling role, with demonstrated competence in various therapeutic techniques.

• Proficiency with electronic health record systems like AVATAR to document client intake and progress seamlessly.

• A strong understanding of underlying physical and emotional health conditions, along with addiction issues.

• Familiarity with American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) best practices and guidelines.

• Exceptional communication skills—both verbal and written—with the ability to convey complex information in a clear and empathetic manner.

• Strong interpersonal skills along with a caring and supportive attitude toward clients.

• Documented experience providing therapy in diverse settings, including community clinics or private practice.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary range for this position is competitive, offering between USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually.
