Requirements

• A genuine, caring personality willing to work with a care team— that is the most important thing
• Valid Wisconsin driver's license
• Reliable transportation
• Education: some college preferred--great for someone in a field such as special education
• Experience with autism or developmental disabilities or similar experience with adults
• Must pass background check
• Full time or part time

Some benefits for full time employees. PTO for all employees.

Currently we have the following openings:

Thursdays 3 PM to 8 PM

Thursdays 8 PM to 9 AM Fridays (Overnight)

Saturdays twice per month, 4 PM to 9 AM Sundays (Overnight), with option for extras

Sundays from 4:00 PM to 9 AM Monday

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 attentive daily assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including grooming, hygiene, dressing housework and cooking.
• Implement behavioral therapy techniques and applied behavior analysis (ABA) strategies to promote positive behaviors and skill development.
• Drive client to and from various appointments and activities out in the community in his own car. You must have a valid Wisconsin driver's license.
• Administer medications on a daily basis
• Collect and record data on behavioral progress, responses to interventions, and other relevant health information to inform ongoing care strategies.
• Support client with learning new skills and fostering social interactions within a supportive environment.

Skills

• Experience working with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities is strongly preferred.
• Experience working with adults requiring behavioral intervention and planning preferred.
• Ability to assist with ADLs and personal care while demonstrating patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills.
• Familiarity with following care plans tailored to individual needs and behavioral health goals.
• Capable of engaging behavior management techniques effectively while maintaining a calm, positive attitude.
• Ability to swim preferred
• Ability to drive and valid driver's license is required
• Must be able to pass a criminal and caregiver background check
