- Conduct thorough evaluations of patients across pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics utilizing standardized assessments and observational methods.
- Create customized treatment plans that cater to both immediate needs and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing goals.
- Deliver focused one-on-one speech therapy sessions centering on communication, language fluency, voice control, and swallowing techniques.
- Partner with physical, occupational, and respiratory therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to develop integrated care approaches.
- Educate patients and families to facilitate continued progress beyond the therapy environment.
- Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions, ensuring seamless continuity of care throughout the patient's journey.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in line with state, federal, and institutional regulations.
- Engage in ongoing professional development by keeping abreast of innovations in the field through education and collaborative learning.
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
- Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is pending.
- State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within the first 30 days of employment.
- Expertise in evidence-informed treatment methodologies for all age groups with a comprehensive grasp of developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
- Exceptional communication skills for interacting with patients, families, and multidisciplinary care teams.
- Aptitude for customizing therapy techniques to meet varied cultural and linguistic needs.
