Senior Associate Scientist, Neuroscience, In Vitro Pharmacology

Bristol Myers Squibb seeks a Senior Associate Scientist to develop and execute high-throughput screening assays for neuroscience drug discovery. The role involves optimizing cell-based assays, conducting compound screening campaigns, and implementing genetic perturbation screens to identify novel therapeutic targets.

Responsibilities

• Develop, optimize, and validate assays for high-throughput and high-content screening applications
• Execute compound screening campaigns using cell viability and reporter-based assays
• Design and implement genetic perturbation screens to support therapeutic discovery
• Maintain and scale mammalian cell culture systems and neuroscience-relevant in vitro models
• Analyze screening datasets and present results to inform drug discovery decisions

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Biology, Neuroscience, Pharmacology, Biochemistry, or related field plus 4+ years relevant experience
• Or Master's degree plus 2+ years relevant experience
• Hands-on experience with mammalian cell culture and assay development
• Proficiency in cell viability assays, reporter assays, and high-content imaging analysis
• Experience designing, executing, and troubleshooting experiments independently with strong data analysis skills
• Knowledge of genetic perturbation techniques (siRNA, ASO, CRISPR) and in vitro neuronal models preferred
• Familiarity with automation platforms and large dataset handling preferred

Compensation: $105,040 - $127,287 base
