Take the leap and join us on your journey towards success.How You Will Make An Impact As A Staff AccountantPerform monthly closing procedures, including preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedulesWork closely with other departments to accurately record entries for accounting topics such as cash, inventory, and fixed assets. Create and maintain related supporting schedules.Administer the expense reporting and recording process for employee reimbursable and credit card expensesReview and provide insight on monthly financial results to assist in the preparation and monitoring of financial results, including variances from budget and forecastAssist with annual financial audit preparationWhat We're Looking For In A Staff AccountantBachelor's degree in accounting or finance or 2+ years of relevant accounting or finance experience required.Understanding of GAAP principlesBasic knowledge or experience with accounting functions such as cash, accounts payable, fixed assets, journal entries, and financial statementsEagerness to learn and grow, with a proactive approach to developing accounting knowledge and skillsAdvanced Excel skills, including ability to create pivot tables, macros, and use of other advanced formulas and functionsHigh attention to detail, solid critical thinking, problem-solving and analytical skills, and the ability to work independently to assess available information, draw conclusions and understandings, and present such conclusions effectivelySolid organization skills and the ability to prioritize and stay focused on assigned priorities, work independently to meet internal and external deadlines, and produce a consistently high-quality productWhy You Should Choose ADVENTCulture that embraces excellence and ethics, we are solutions minded, and encourage you to ask questions22 days of PTO (prorated your first year based on start date) & holiday payMedical, dental, and vision insurance with generous employer paid HRA account401k contributionHybrid work model - Minimum of 2 days in office weekly (Training will take place onsite Monday-Friday)
