WeCare TLC Counseling Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our dynamic outpatient team in Olathe, Kansas, with the added advantage of a remote work setting. In this full-time role, you will leverage mindfulness-based interventions to support individuals in their journey towards improved mental health, resilience, and personal well-being.

As a member of our mental health team, you will operate primarily from your home office while engaging regularly with clients virtually. The outpatient facility in Olathe serves as a hub for in-person workshops and events, enhancing our community outreach efforts.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Deliver mindfulness-based interventions, such as Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), to clients, focusing on reducing stress, fostering relaxation, and enhancing emotional well-being.

• Conduct comprehensive initial assessments to evaluate each client's unique stressors, challenges, and goals, allowing you to tailor mindfulness practices that meet their specific needs.

• Guide individuals through various mindfulness exercises, meditation sessions, and breathing techniques, aiming to create increased self-awareness and emotional balance.
\n
• Facilitate engaging group workshops on mindfulness practices and stress management techniques, contributing to a group dynamic that nurtures emotional resilience.
\n
• Incorporate mindfulness strategies into individual therapy sessions, effectively addressing clients' specific mental health concerns and fostering their overall growth.

• Collaborate with fellow therapists and healthcare providers to create a cohesive and integrative therapeutic environment that supports mindfulness as part of the comprehensive treatment approaches.

• Maintain thorough documentation of client progress, mindfulness interventions, and treatment plans, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

• Engage in personal mindfulness practice and self-reflection to continuously enhance your skills and understanding of mindfulness methodologies.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on individuals seeking to improve their mental health through mindfulness techniques, including those dealing with anxiety, depression, stress-related disorders, and emotional regulation issues. Clients range from various demographics, providing a diverse backdrop for your therapeutic work. You will play an integral role in supporting adults and adolescents in developing coping strategies, thus directly impacting their quality of life and emotional resilience.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LCPC, or LCMFT in the state of Kansas.

• Strong foundational skills in integrating mindfulness practices with therapeutic techniques.

• Excellent communication skills, ensuring the ability to foster a calming and supportive therapeutic environment.

Preferred Experience\n

• Extensive training in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) is preferred but not mandatory.

Compensation and Benefits\n
