Seeking an experienced Special Education Teacher for a part-time contract role supporting elementary students in a school setting near Maple Grove, MN. This position begins on August 25, 2026, and concludes June 10, 2027, offering a consistent weekday schedule at approximately 18 hours per week (0.5 FTE). You’ll work closely with a dedicated ABS caseload at the elementary level, providing essential supports and instruction to help every student thrive.

Qualifications:

• Valid Minnesota Special Education Teaching License (required, Tier 3 or Tier 4 only)
• Experience supporting students with ABS needs, preferably in an elementary setting
• Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to develop and implement effective IEPs
• Resilience and flexibility in adapting to student needs and school environments

Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized instruction to students on your caseload, ensuring lessons meet their academic, social, and behavioral goals
• Develop, monitor, and update IEPs in collaboration with colleagues and families
• Maintain regular communication with students, families, and support staff
• Track and report student progress, making instructional adjustments as needed
• Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities
• Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment where every learner feels valued
